+it seems the time hath come once again fur me to replace my blog with a new one 
+created from scratch. i have a history of doing so fur some reason; i wish i'd 
+saved my old work more (embarrassing as much of it purrobably would be to me by 
+now), but at least i've saved my old one. no word yet on when or how i'll make 
+it available to view, but it's still around

+i remember a really old blog i once ran, using github pages---and i think 
+jekyll, via CI?---; i wrote a post in reaction to an old shaun video about a 
+frog riddle. (i wish i remembered what the thoughts i'd had then were! i'm sad 
+i never kept the source files around!) as fun as writing full raw XHTML is, 
+it's nice to just be able to write posts in a markup language again, this time 
+[djot][djot]. hopefully, with a build system, and with having 
+finally learned how rsync works, i might feel less friction writing new 
+posts? we'll see...
